From Healing Hands to Robotic Precision
The story of Prabhukrupa Hospital is one of legacy, evolution, and excellence.
Founded in August 1973 by Dr. Yashuben Shah (Gynecologist) and Dr. V.C. Shah (General Surgeon), it began as one of Rajkot’s earliest private hospitals dedicated to women’s health and general surgery. For nearly four decades, Prabhukrupa Hospital served as a trusted name in maternal and surgical care for thousands of families across Saurashtra.
In 2012, their son Dr. Ketan Shah carried forward this proud legacy with a new vision — to redefine orthopedic care and establish Rajkot’s first exclusive joint replacement center.
With his advanced training from across the world and a passion for innovation, he transformed Prabhukrupa Hospital into a state-of-the-art orthopedic and robotic surgery center.
Today, the hospital proudly combines 51+ years of medical heritage with cutting-edge robotic technology, making it the first hospital in Saurashtra to introduce the MAKO SmartRobotics™ System for knee and hip replacement surgeries.
